Parliamentary elections were held in Liechtenstein on 8 February 2009.[1] While polls and pundits predicted few changes, the national conservative Progressive Citizens' Party in Liechtenstein lost many votes, as did the green social-liberal Free List; the national liberal Patriotic Union won a lot of votes, and even gained an outright majority in the Landtag.[2]
